MLD post lipo treatment and cosmetic surgery
If you have recently had Lipo suction you may notice slight swelling or bloating.
How does lymphatic drainage help?
Swelling, bruising and pain are common side effects following surgery. MLD, or Manual Lymphatic drainage can enhance the healing process helping to unblock and drain the lymphatic system. The massage reduces bruising and pain and improves mobility. The massage is very gentle.
The number of treatment depends on which part of the body has been treated:-

- Arms 3 session
- Abdomen 5-10 sessions
- Flanks 5-10 sessions
- Outer and inner thigh 3-5 sessions
- Chin and face 3-5 sessions
- Vaser 4D and Hi Definition 15-20 sessions
Lymphatic drainage can improve:
- Face lifts and breast augmentation
- Tummy -Tucks
- Abdominal liposuction
- Abdominoplasty
- Eye brow and eye surgery
- Nose reshaping - rhinoplasty
- Treatment can start 48 hours after surgery and the amount of sessions required may vary from person to person. Usually an intensive course of treatment is recommended. This will include MLD combined with deep oscillation (Hivamat 200). This is a relaxing treatment that strengthens and heals tissues using vibration generated by an electrostatic field.
